Drying
Caspari mainly uses woodchips to generate heat. The generated heat is used for the drying of pallets and wood packaging, as well as for the heating of production halls and offices.
The technical wood drying takes place in 20 closed drying chambers, in which the climate is specifically influenced so that the wood moisture can escape quickly and gently. Softwoods, whether fresh from the forest or air pre-dried, are dewatered with temperatures between 70 and 85 °C.
The required woodchips are covered exclusively by the amount of wood produced during production, as well as from pallets that are no longer repairable.
This type of heat suply serves the future-proof, environmentally friendly and price-stable energy production.
