Circulation of wood

Caspari uses only wood and nails for the production of pallets. The wood drying and IPPC treatment is done with heat.  There are no chemicals or other additives processed.

During the production accumulates olny wood waste like capprests, sawdust and milling ponds. This waste is completely collected and sent to a wood chipper. The leavings will be recycled and filterd to sawdust and wood chips.

The sawdust is marketed to the chipboard industry and agriculture and the wood chips are used as heating material for the company's cogeneration plant.

The produced pallets are delivered with our own fleet. As a return we collect old, defective and unsorted pallets from our customers and transport them back to our plant.

These pallets are sorted into three categorys:

• exchangable and ready for use
• reparable
• not reparable

The exchangeable and reparable pallets are returned to the used pallet market.

The non-repairable pallets are processed to wood chips and the remaining nails are getting separated, rejected and marketed to steel disposal companies.

We can cover with the generated heat the whole demand in the main plant. The wood chips supply the entire plant in Waldbröl with heat (production halls, warehouses and office buildings). In addition, the heat for technical drying and IPPC treatment is thereby generated. Here we have reduced the consumption of the finite raw material oil by about 6 million liters per year in favor of a renewable raw material.
